     What exactly is creative writing? – According to Wikipedia, Creative writing is any writing that “goes outside the bounds of normal professional, journalistic, academic, or technical forms of literature”.

     That sums it all. Be it a story about yetis, a letter asking for a place on the mars mission, an article about life on the Sahara, a descriptive account about one of Gatsby’s parties, creative writing has it all. In the world of pointless examinations, which seek to force thought in one direction, go out of form and you get fried. It was out of this creative writing was born, a form of writing for the unorthodox, the great thinkers, the dreamers, the rebels - in other words, for people who like to think beyond the barriers of ordinary thought.

     That is, and will always be humanity’s greatest asset – imagination. Today, we proudly present to you one of the best events of the literary club at SSN – the creative writing event. This is an individual two-round event.      
     Anyone can take part; all you have to do is to be there, on 15^th at 10 am. If you do prove yourself worthy in the initial round, you’ll earn the right to be a reporter. It will be your duty to go around in the campus, observe the events. At the end of it all, you must have a story ready – not just any story, but one that will knock the wigs off the judges’ heads and make the papers the next day, for the competition will be intense!
     Although this event is about finding the smartest, most innovative, sharpest writer out there, just remember that in the end, all that matters is your love for writing. You’re willing to create? That’s half the battle won!
